Singer-actress Ariana Grande's maternal grandmother Marjorie "Nonna" Grande, breathed her last recently. She was 99. Her death was confirmed by the Grande on Tuesday. Ariana shared the emotional family statement on Instagram post, where she and her family mourned the loss of Marjorie Grande.

The official statement read: We are devastated to share that the beloved matriarch of our family has passed away. Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed peacefully in her home and was surrounded by her family and loved ones for every moment of her last few week."

The Grande family also thanked everyone for the love, support and for respecting their privacy as they grieve and celebrate Marjorie Grande's "beautiful, extraordinary life.".

The Eternal Sunshine singer also shared a heartwarming throwback photo from her grandparents바카라™ wedding day, and wrote "forever."

Ariana Grande was very much close to her grandmother and shared a strong bond. Marjorie always supported her granddaughter's music and acting endeavours.

Earlier, the Grammy award-winning singer spoke about taking her grandmother to see Wicked in her hometown in Boca Raton, Florida. 

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she had said, "It was just so surreal to sit with her in the movie theater I had grown up going to," and added, "To hold her hand바카라”oh my God I바카라™m getting emotional."

Marjorie also featured on several songs of Ariana, including Bloodline, Thank U, Next, and Ordinary Things. She also scripted history by becoming the oldest artist ever to feature on the Billboard Hot 100. 

To celebrate the milestone, Ariana had shared a picture of Nonna on Instagram and wrote, "Celebrating the one and only, most beautiful Nonna who has now made history for being the senior most person to ever appear on the @billboard Hot100. We love and thank you."
