Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on May 28 said that Mohammad Sinwar, the Hamas commander overseeing operations in Gaza, has been killed in an Israeli military operation, Reuters reported.

Mohammad Sinwar, the younger brother of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, was regarded as one of the most wanted figures by Israeli intelligence. He rose to prominence within the militant group following the death of his brother Yahya in combat last year during the ongoing war in Gaza.

바카라œMohammad Sinwar, the Hamas commander in Gaza and a key architect of their terror network, has been eliminated,바카라 Netanyahu said in a televised statement according to Reuters, hailing the strike as a significant blow to the group바카라™s leadership.

Sinwar had reportedly assumed key operational and strategic responsibilities in Gaza following his brother바카라™s death, playing a central role in the coordination of militant activities against Israeli forces.

The Israeli military has intensified its operations in Gaza in recent weeks, targeting Hamas바카라™s command structure in what it describes as a focused effort to dismantle the group바카라™s leadership and operational capacity.

There has been no immediate confirmation from Hamas regarding Sinwar's death. The situation in Gaza remains volatile, with heightened military engagement and ongoing humanitarian concerns across the region.
