Since there바카라™s no reserve day for Qualifier 1, if rain or anything untoward prevents the game from being completed at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh, Punjab Kings will advance directly to the final as they topped the league standings by virtue of a better NRR.
Both PBKS and RCB finished the league stage with 8 wins from 14 games, earning 19 points each. However, Punjab바카라™s superior net run rate of 0.372 compared to RCB바카라™s 0.301 gave them the edge.
IPL 2025 Playoffs Playing Conditions
Hyderabad and Kolkata were originally given the hosting rights for the playoffs, but in the wake of the heightened India-Pakistan military conflict, the IPL 2025 schedule was revised. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had also considered the monsoon season while selecting the new playoff venues.
"The new venues for the playoffs were decided by the IPL Governing Council keeping in mind the weather conditions and other parameters," said the BCCI in a statement.
It's also worth noting that the BCCI had increased the extra time to complete those remaining league matches to 120 minutes, from one hour. Earlier, 120 minutes was only reserved for the playoff matches.
"Similar to the playoffs stage, an additional one hour will be allocated to the playing conditions for the remaining matches of the league stage, starting Tuesday, 20 May," the statement added.
Mullanpur, New Chandigarh Weather Report Today
The weather today is expected to remain mostly favourable for the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. According to forecasts, there is only a 1% chance of rain, and with 50% cloud cover likely during the match. The temperature is expected to be around 35°C at the start of the PBKS vs RCB match, and it drops as night progresses, generally.
Besides Qualifier 1, Mullanpur will also host the Eliminator between the third and fourth-placed teams, Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians, on Friday. Qualifier 2 and the final will be played in Ahmedabad.
